Default Prevention and Financial Literacy: Money Management Fair

Learn how to organize a Money Management Fair

What is a Money Management Fair?

It's a fun, engaging event where students learn personal financial management skills. Community and campus financial professionals present information to help students learn:

  • how to avoid financial pitfalls
  • where to get help when they experience financial difficulties
  • how to apply for credit and use credit wisely
  • their rights and responsibilities as borrowers

You can organize it as an on-campus event, individual sessions, or in any format that meets your needs and the needs of your students.

How do you organize a Money Management Fair?

NSLP's Money Management Fair guide book has instructions for planning a successful event. The goal is to create a positive environment where students can interact with professionals to learn personal financial management skills.
