Oklahoma A&M Receives NSLP's Cash for Class TM
Award--
December 14, 2001
Students at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, Oklahoma, were
selected to receive NSLP's Cash for Class award at the Southwestern Association of Student Financial
Aid Administrators conference in November. NSLP's Cash for Class is a scholarship program that provides money
to schools to help their students pay for college expenses and
allows the school to decide how to award the funds.

NSLP Expands
Business Development Team--
August 22, 2001
NSLP is pleased to announce the addition of Juan Perez as Regional
Director of Business Development. Juan will coordinate NSLP's
interactions with schools and lenders in the southeastern region of
the country and in Puerto Rico, as well as continue to maintain
NSLP's relationships in the RMASFAA region.

Schools to
Hear Delinquency Prevention Tips and PLUS MPN Information at
NASFAA--
July 16, 2001
At the NASFAA conference in July, NSLP will present delinquency
prevention tips that schools, lenders and guaranty agencies can use
to help students avoid delinquency and default. Connie Kent, NSLP's
Financial Management Director, will present the information along
with representatives from DeVry Institute and American Express
Education Loans. Schools will also hear the latest information
about the proposed PLUS master promissory note from Leesa Sorensen,
NSLP's Senior Policy Analyst, and representatives from Skidmore
College and Doane College.

NSLP Creates
Cash for ClassTM for Students--
July 9, 2001
Students across the nation will soon have some extra money for
college expenses through Cash for Class, a new NSLP program that
provides scholarship money to schools in each of the six financial
aid regions-WASFAA, SWASFAA, SASFAA, RMASFAA, MASFAA and EASFAA.
NSLP will mail Cash for ClassTM registration forms to
schools in early July. Schools can also register at NSLP's booth at
the NASFAA conference in July, and at the regional conferences held
October 2001 through April 2002. NSLP will select the winners and
award the funds shortly after each regional conference.

NSLP Expands
Delinquency and Default Prevention Efforts--
July 2, 2001
To further bolster NSLP's delinquency and default prevention
programs, Connie Kent has been appointed to serve as Financial
Management Director. She will coordinate and expand NSLP's debt
management, delinquency prevention, and borrower early awareness
and education programs. She will assist schools and lenders develop
financial and debt management programs to help students avoid
delinquency and default on their student loans.

Business Development Team--
April 16, 2001
NSLP recently expanded its Business Development Division with the
addition of three new members. Rod Langel joined NSLP as Vice
President of Business Development in February. Amanda Koelling and
Connie Schmidt recently came to NSLP as Regional Directors of
Business Development. Other Regional Directors of Business
Development include Mark Krings, Julie Esau, Amy Jurgens, Matt
Bergmeyer and Jodi Vanden Berge. Collectively, NSLP's Business
Development division has more than 87 years of student loan
experience.

NSLP Expands
Positions to Enhance Product Development, Promotion--
February 16, 2001
NSLP, the nation's seventh largest student loan guaranty agency,
has created two new leadership positions that will enhance its
efforts to provide innovative products and services for schools and
lenders. Rick Johnson was named Vice President of Technology
Solutions last August, and Sharon O'Neal assumed a new role as
Assistant Vice President of Corporate Promotions in
January.

NSLP Ranked
7th Largest Guaranty Agency--
January 11, 2001
NSLP is now the 7th largest student loan guaranty agency based on
fiscal year 2000 loan guaranty volume and rankings recently
released by the Department of Education. Previously the 8th largest
among 36 guaranty agencies in the country, NSLP attributes its
growth to its ongoing commitment to customer service, innovative
products tailored to meet the needs of schools and lenders, and a
highly successful blanket guaranty program.
