Schools More Online Default Prevention Tools--

delinquent loan report and letters. Online Default Aversion
Assistance is one of many NSLP default prevention initiatives
that help keep NSLP's cohort default rate at a record low of 4.4%,

Billion Record for Loan Guarantees--

The National Student Loan Program grew by 56% in
fiscal year 2004, guaranteeing a record of more than $2.3 billion
in student loans. This is NSLP's second consecutive year of
unprecedented growth at a time when student loan volume is
increasing less than 20% annually.

Rate Well Below National Average--

NSLP's fiscal year 2002 cohort default rate of 4.4%
fell significantly below the national average of 5.2%. NSLP's rate
decreased 1% from the year before while the national rate dropped
only 0.2%.

NSLP's "trigger" default rate for FY2003
is 1.2% marking the fourth consecutive year the rate is below 2%.
NSLP reduced its rate by over 60% since 1998 by working hard at
