Anne believes that providing excellent customer service is always a high priority. She has over 19 years of financial aid experience at colleges in New York where she won awards for providing extraordinary service to students.

"My passion is helping students. I understand their needs and how financial aid offices can streamline their offices to help students even more," says Anne.

Anne helped develop and deliver financial aid awareness programs for students in New York and held several leadership roles in NYSFAA and EASFAA.

Brian brings 13 years of financial aid experience to NSLP, most recently as the Senior Associate Director for Financial Aid at Fordham University. In addition, Brian is acting as the co-chair for the NYSFAAA Region 6 association.

Cheryl has over 11 years of financial aid experience. As former assistant director of financial aid, Cheryl provided oversight of student loan counseling activities and helped graduate students with personal budget planning. She also streamlined student loan processes to ensure students received their money on time.

Mark Krings
Vice President,  West District
Mark helps schools and lenders by giving them flexible guaranty options. He has over 13 years of experience in student loans -- first as supervisor of NSLP Customer Service, and then as a member of NSLP's Business Development team.

Robyn has over 15 years of student loan-related experience in which she built and maintained relationships with schools. She also has previous experience working with lenders and a servicer. In addition, Robyn has extensive committee involvement with organizations including MASFAP, SLGFA, IASFAA, SLSA, and NCHELP. She also served on a student loan taskforce and was active in the negotiated rulemaking process.

Dean has over 20 years experience as a financial aid administrator at colleges in South Dakota, Wyoming, and Nebraska; he has also served as market manager for a major student loan lender.  In addition, he has held numerous leadership positions in national, regional, and local financial aid associations, including NASFAA, RMASFAA, and NeASFAA.

Brenda Paganelli, AFC

As former director of financial aid, Brenda supervised and coordinated financial aid programs and automated the financial aid process. Students and parents benefited from her extensive experience in loan counseling and debt management. Brenda has also been involved in regional mid-level training and state financial aid workshops, and served in leadership roles in regional and state financial aid organizations.

"I can help schools because I've walked in their shoes," says Brenda. "I understand their needs and can offer effective tools to make their jobs easier -- tools I've used."

Juan Perez

With previous experience in NSLP's Customer Service and Default Prevention units, Juan understands the student loan needs of schools, lenders and borrowers.   

"I always listen carefully to what our customers say they need, then match them up with the services and products that NSLP provides to help them," Juan says.

Juan helped NSLP develop default prevention tools that schools can use to help student loan borrowers avoid problems with their loans.

Myra Pfannenstiel, AFC

Myra has nearly ten years experience in the financial aid administration, most recently as the Director of Financial Aid at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.  She previously worked as Financial Aid Assistant at Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado, and Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas, where she counseled students in all aspects of the financial aid process. 

"I understand what it takes to provide quality financial aid services to students," says Myra.  "I am eager to show my clients how NSLP can meet their needs."

Jeni Rone, AFC

Jeni is a six-year veteran in the financial aid arena. Her experience stems from positions held with lenders where she established and maintained student loan relationships, managed loan disbursements, and counseled students about debt management. Most recently, she served as campus director for a national lender/servicer in the Carolinas and Virginia. Jeni has served on various state, regional, and national financial aid committees.

"Helping students is my ultimate goal, and it starts by serving as a dependable resource for schools and introducing them to technology that streamlines their student loan process," says Jeni.

Regional Director of Business Development

Monica has over 14 years of experience in the student loan industry.  She previously held positions with Florida and Georgia schools, lender servicers, and guarantors.  Monica has experience counseling students about financial aid options, application procedures, and eligibility.  She is a member of several state financial aid associations, including SASFAA, and has served as presenter and coordinator for various conferences.

"My experience in the many facets of financial aid will benefit schools," says Monica.  "I understand the student loan industry, and can serve as a reliable resource for schools."

Kim has over 15 years of student loan experience, most recently in the lending account manager in southern California.  She has also managed customer service issues for a student loan servicer.
